Board Certification
Optional Subspecialty in Surgery of the Hand or Orthopaedic Sports Medicine
  • Pass Part I & Part II
  • Requires a 1 year ACGME-accredited fellowship in subspeciality
  • Apply and submit Application by February 1
  • Examination administered at testing center in August
MOC
Failure to Maintain ABOS Board Certification
  • Subject to ABOS Credentials Committee review and re-entry oral examination to regain certification
  • ABOS Board Certification may be subject to ABOS Credentials Committee review prior to expiration of any 10-year MOC period
Retirement
  • Consider moving to ABOS Retired Status
